A Selection of Collaborating Research Institutes on Technology and Pedagogy


Simula Metropolitan is a research unit that is jointly owned by Simula Research Laboratory and Oslo Metropolitan University. It is the home of Simula’s research activities on networks and communications, machine learning and IT management. Conexus collaborates with SimulaMet on our development of AI and ML based analysis and is a base for continuous progression on the forefront of Learning Analytics.



LearnLab is a Norwegian-based company founded in 2017, with offices in Oslo. The founders have more than 25 years of experience from educational development and technology. LearnLab is co-founder of ARC where the initial vision is to establish a global group of educational systems that advances values of equity, excellence, wellbeing, inclusion, democracy, and human rights for all students. Conexus have a long-term relationship with LearnLab on identifying correlation between factors related to competence building.

The University of South-Eastern Norway (USN)

USN is Norway’s fourth largest university. It employs 1,700 people and offers an education to about 18,000 students. They offer professional and business focused educational programmes with research and knowledge dissemination adhering to high international standards.

USN has been a close collaborator with Conexus in pushing for new methods of interaction for the purpose of competence development as well as being a vital partner for guiding Conexus on the Ethics of AI and ML analytics.
